Color plays a decisive role in beauty packaging—it communicates brand personality, enhances shelf appeal, and influences customer trust.
Here are the three most reliable methods for color customization, along with essential tips to ensure accuracy throughout the process.
1. Provide an Accurate Pantone Color Code (Most Recommended)
The most reliable and industry-standard method is to supply the exact Pantone code.
Why this works best:
Pantone colors offer a unified, global reference
Factories across different regions can match the same number
Ideal for both printed and plastic components (using Pantone Plastic Chips where applicable)
Tips:
Always use an updated, physical Pantone chart
Choose the Pantone system that matches your product (e.g., Pantone Plastic Chips for plastic packaging)
Avoid relying solely on digital screens for color selection
2. Send Us a Physical Color Sample (High Accuracy)
If you have an existing product, cap, bottle, or color chip that represents the exact shade you want, sending a physical reference is an excellent option.
This method:
Ensures high accuracy, especially for custom resin colors
Allows our team to perform one-to-one color matching
Works well when your brand uses a unique color that isn’t listed in Pantone charts
A physical sample eliminates guesswork and allows us to reproduce the color more precisely.
3. Share a Photo for Reference (Acceptable, but Accuracy May Vary)
If Pantone codes or physical samples are not available, you may provide a clear photo of the desired color.
However, please note:
Photos are influenced by lighting conditions, camera settings, and screen displays
This method has the highest potential for color variation
We will do our best to interpret and match the color, but for critical projects, Method 1 or 2 is strongly recommended.
Additional Tips for Consistent Color Matching
• Define Color Tolerance Early
• Request Pre-Production Color Chips or Drawdowns
• Maintain Clear, Timely Communication
If you have specific expectations or notice any differences, sharing feedback early helps ensure a smoother production process.
